Allen League

Allen  League is played on Thursdays (Spring, Summer, Fall) on three field sites: Ford Park, Curtis Middle School, and Jupiter Field. The league runs for 7 weeks of regular season play and two weeks of tournament. The cost per player is $20. This is now a Pay to be Drafted League.

Important Note: Due to field space and roster size limitations, we will potentially have to limit the number of men and women that can register for the league. This will enable us to ensure play time for players by not having too large a sideline. We’re looking to have no more than 15 men and 7 women on a team.

Pairings: While a single set of pairings is allowed, we encourage you to use these pairings to help support and bring in new players.  We are not going to allow pairings of more than two people and both need to request the pairing.  If you are not a new player, take this as a chance to get to play with people you’ve never had the chance to play with before. Captain pairings are not permitted.

Spring League (2014)

When: 7:00-10:00pm

Dates: March 6 – April 27 (regular season)

 Summer League (2014)

When: 7:00-10:00pm

Dates: June 5th – August 7th

Where: Ford Park, Curtis Middle School, Jupiter Fields

Fall League (2014)

When: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Dates: September 4th – October 16th (regular season)

Rules for the League:

Points: Games are 80 minutes or 13 points, with half at 7 points.

Start time: Games start at 7:00pm and 8:30pm

Caps: Soft cap occurs 5 minutes before hard cap. No time outs during soft cap. Hard caps occur at 8:20 pm for the first game and 9:50 pm for the second game. If a team is moving to Curtis Middle School, the first game’s hard cap is at 8:15 pm.

Time outs: There is one time out per half and a floater. No time outs five minutes before cap.  (A time out during that time will result in a turn over.)

Attendance: A player must play at least two regular season games in order to be allowed to play in the tournament.

Starting requirements: Teams must have 4 players from their roster present to start a game. Substitute players (players not on your roster) are not allowed. Games resulting in substitute players will result in a forfeit.

Assessing points: If a team does not have 4 players on the line 5 minutes after the start of the game, points will be assessed. A point can be assessed every 5 minutes after this. After 16 minutes, the game is forfeited and a scrimmage may occur.

Gender: This rule is better seen in the spreadsheet below.  We are working towards creating a league that supports the people that we have while striving towards the ideal of a 4-3 league.  With the gender spread as it stands the rule is balanced as seen below.

HOW TO REGISTER:

  1. Click the “Site Login” link at the top of the page.
  2. If you have an account through dallasultimate.org, login with that username/password.
  3. If you do not have such an account (have not registered for DWL or Irving in the last year), follow the “Register” link to create a new account. Your account profile contains some information (contacts, skills, etc.) that should be static across different leagues. After completing your profile, you will receive an email with a temporary password.
  4. After you login, you will be taken to a page with a link to register for the league. Click the button to register, fill out the form, confirm your information, and submit.
  5. You can then follow the paypal link or mail a check to the displayed address.
  6. If you had an existing account, please review your account profile to ensure your contact and skills information is up to date.

Payment status is updated semi-automatically, typically 1-2 days behind real time for paypal with checks being updated once per week. Your payment status will be displayed any time you login.
